Detailed Programme
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive in India’s capital and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind or explore Delhi’s vibrant local markets or enjoy a short heritage walk through its Mughal lanes.
Day 2: Exploring Delhi
Spend the day discovering Delhi’s many layers—visit Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar, and drive past colonial landmarks like India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. The city offers a striking blend of ancient history and modern bustle.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (4 hrs drive)
Drive to Agra and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the impressive Agra Fort and enjoy views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River at Mehtab Bagh, especially beautiful at sunset.
Day 4: Agra to Ranthambore via Fatehpur Sikri & Bharatpur (train)
Start early to catch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal, then head to the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. Continue to Bharatpur where you board a short train to Ranthambore, arriving at your jungle lodge by evening.
Day 5: Ranthambore National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the national park, famed for its Bengal tigers, leopards, marsh crocodiles, and exotic birdlife. In between, relax at the lodge or visit the hilltop Ranthambore Fort.
Day 6: Ranthambore to Jaipur (3.5 hrs drive)
Drive to Jaipur, the Pink City, known for its regal architecture and colourful bazaars. Settle into your heritage hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening walk through the old city or a rooftop dinner.
Day 7: Exploring Jaipur
Visit the hilltop Amber Fort, the ornate City Palace, and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Later, explore the markets, visit artisans, or opt for a block-printing or cooking workshop.
Day 8: Jaipur to Jodhpur (6 hrs drive)
Head west to Jodhpur, the Blue City. Arrive by late afternoon and enjoy a sunset walk to Jaswant Thada or relax in the old city’s bustling bazaars and cafés.
Day 9: Jodhpur Sightseeing
Visit the grand Mehrangarh Fort, which towers over the city, and wander through the blue-painted lanes below. Explore local stepwells, spice markets, and maybe try your hand at turban-tying or pottery.
Day 10: Jodhpur to Jawai (3 hrs drive)
Travel to Jawai, a unique landscape of granite hills, scrub forest, and rural villages. Settle into your luxury wilderness lodge and take a guided walk or visit a temple tucked into the hills.
Day 11: Jawai – Leopard & Tribal Experience
Embark on morning and evening leopard safaris, a rare chance to observe big cats living in harmony with the local Rabari herders. Visit tribal settlements and gain insight into their traditional lifestyle.
Day 12: Jawai to Udaipur via Ranakpur (3.5 hrs drive)
Drive to Udaipur, stopping en route to see the stunning marble Jain temples of Ranakpur. Arrive in time for a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola, taking in the views of palaces and lakeside ghats.
Day 13: Udaipur Sightseeing
Explore the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and Saheliyon-ki-Bari. Enjoy Udaipur’s old-world charm, discover miniature painting ateliers, or visit Shilpgram artisan village for crafts and textiles.
Day 14: Udaipur – Departure to Delhi or Mumbai
After a relaxed morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi or Mumbai, where you connect to your international departure or continue your journey onward.
